Unitii Corp is looking for a qualified Carpenter for our Victoria location. Unitii Corp provides construction management, pre-construction services and general contracting for new builds or renovations across Alberta and through Western Canada.

POSITION SUMMARY

Works under the direct leadership of the Site Superintendent and in conjunction with the Project Management Team. Must have required safety equipment/gear including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles. Role may require working in confined spaces and at heights in noisy and dusty conditions. Must be physically capable in handling heavy loads. Candidates should be motivated, hardworking, safety oriented, responsible, and reliable.

We are looking for individuals who have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Carpenter on multifamily & mixed-use builds working for a General Contractor/Developer.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• MUST have a minimum of 3-5 years Carpenter experience on multifamily & mixed-use builds
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints and understand the scope of work
• The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
• Operate and use a variety of hand and power tools
• Manual dexterity, balance for working on scaffolding
• Able to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials; build foundations, columns, suspended slabs, erect wood walls and construct roof systems.
• Must be organized and able to keep work area clean
• Care first and foremost about the safety and well-being of everyone you work with, for and near
• Take pride in being accountable and continuously look for ways to improve
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION/ASSETS

• Red Seal & Gold Seal Registered an asset

· Journeyman Certificate or relevant post-secondary

• Knowledge of Procore Construction software an asset
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• ESC Fall Protection an asset
• WHMIS an asset
• CSTS an asset

Salary: $32.50-$45.00 per hour
